Organization and Situation For my personal case analysis, I've decided to discuss a difficult situation between myself, my Assistant Store Manager, our District Manager, and Corporate. I've been a Starbucks Store Manager for 7 years and have had the pleasure of training new SMs and ASMs throughout my career. However, for one ASM in particular, the learning journey was quit different. When a potential bias was illuminated, the waters of corporate policy became muddied and trust was broken between Partners. My case analysis will describe the situation in detail, as well as, take the organization through the 4 organizational frames: the Structural Frame, the Human Resource Frame, the Political Frame, and the Symbolic Frame. Lastly, my case analysis will describe the Ethical Communities of Starbucks and the importance of reframing ethics.
Reflection By taking my case analysis through the 4 organizational frames, I have discovered the power and purpose of utilizing multiple perspectives. The frames offer different functions that aid in navigation, critical thinking, and problem solving. As I took my case analysis through the 4 different frames, I discovered opportunities for reframing and reflected on different ways to handle the situation. I now know the benefits of each frame and how to apply them to any difficult situation. Moving forward, I plan on utilizing these frames to aid in navigation, critical thinking, and problem solving.
